I do not really know exactly what I am doing yet, so I can't say for sure what my end goal will be. For now, I am picturing a firmware I can put on my CVITEK or Epic board that will successfully complete a share on my s19k. I do not really have any concrete motivations for this project (helping the community, making money, etc). It is more of a hyper fixation that will most likely last 3-6 months. One thing is sure, you ain't doing anything anytime soon with the Cvitek, and i know nothing about the Epic, but oddly enough, Braiins DID release an open source control board called the BCB 100. Its funny you didn't notice and instead want to use one of the most locked down models out there. And yes, it is a true fact that most firmware out there is infringing Copyright law by their illegal use of modified GPL software without releasing the corresponding source code changes. In particular the large asic manufacturers should be sued, but also third parties that even have the nerve to start companies or even threat with patent trolling out of selling stolen products. |

Los legales no son perseguidos, pero les cobran mas. Aunque se de un caso que ellos pagaron la construcción de la subestación para conectarse muy cerca de la generación... Con una tarifa algo mejor. El problema es el mal manejo del recurso, se culpa a los mineros pero le regalan al norte de Argentina. Pretenden que un minero pague 5¢ pero Argentina 2¢. Cerca de la generación cobran completo, pero a la Argentina le llegará un 80% ese otro 20% se pierde en el camino. Los mineros al lado de la generación incluso pagando igual que Argentina aportaría mas dinero a la empresa. Pero quien la dirige no actúa como gerente, actúa como político ignorante, o le obedece a dichos políticos.
La tarifa industrial eléctrica debería ser igual para todos, pero como no lo es, los privilegiados revenden a escondidas a los que no. La discriminación incentiva la corrupción y el despilfarro del recurso. Además, Paraguay no está protegiendo bien su lado del río Paraná, lo cual pone un panorama complicado por la deforestación que acaba con el agua a futuro que es lo que necesita la represa...

S19 90 is not the same as the original S19, its basically an S19j, so it does NOT require the Zynq due to not using the bm1398, it has the bm1362 which IS compatible with bbb, aml, cv and bcb. Ya esto es un tema de educación sobre bitcoin en general, y yo particularmente me alejaría de cualquier otra "cripto". Lo mas simple es usar un procesador de pagos, como btcpay, así tratas esto como un negocio mas, es lo mas simple.
Claro nosotros sabemos que lo correcto es preservar lo que les da porque eso a futuro se multiplica, exclusivamente bitcoin claro, el resto es basura, pero sería una estrategia solida cambiar eso inmediatamente por bitcoin (en lugar de fiat, pero fiat es mejor que porquerías como doge blah blah).
Y por supuesto que lo entiendo, el tema de los diezmos. A diferencia de los países con religión oficial, la católica por ejemplo recibe dinero del Estado (en España es directamente por el numero de bautizados), sin ese ingreso no siguen, ya que igual deben pagar alquiler, servicios y demás y si el Estado no lo hace por ellos, solo quedan los feligreses.
Pero tu misión es cuesta arriba, es exactamente la misma de enseñar sobre Bitcoin a cualquier grupo o compañía. Intenta con "Mi Primer Bitcoin" y otros materiales similares que se han producido para El Salvador, porque lo que debes hacerles entender es que hay una nueva moneda digital y toda la educación que eso conlleva.

Skipping a model because of "demand" is lazy. Maybe the team isn't getting paid enough to feel motivated, mining fees too low or something.  So you don't care to run the latest cracked windows because the cracker group made it work with your late computer, but complain that linux doesn't work yet with it and call them "lazy". If your logic is so flawless, then go feed the pirates and leave this thread. I told you, this chip (BM1360) will not be supported due to low demand, and YOU are not going change that.

S9j is very old, maybe its hw related, or the nand is already spent, but it should still work from sd. If it was running from sd, replace it. Or try reflashing the nand. Various things to check/try, in no specific order: - Cut power to the miner for 20 minutes. - Make sure the device is connected to ground at all times (case and psu). - Check all settings are default (Delete any value, then Save & Apply). - Try reducing power limit. Wait at least 12 hours for Tuner Status to show Stable. - Check the cables are well connected, try swapping or replacing them, tighten the power rail screws. - Disable the hashboard in Configuration > Performance > Override Global Hash Chain about 6 hours. - Try with another power supply unit, problems with the PSU can also manifest as HW errors. - Clean the device carefully, if you use liquids you should wait a few days to dry fully. If the problem persists, it probably has a physical issue that needs repair. |

Atacar la IA es neo ludismo. Es inútil, ya no se puede regresar el genio a la lámpara.
La revolución industrial, llevó al desempleo a mucha gente. Miles de costureras fueron reemplazadas por máquinas que no piden aumento ni vacaciones. Es así. No se que nombre le pondrán los historiadores en el futuro, pero para mi es equivalente a la revolución industrial. ¿Revolución artificial? No lo se, pero entiéndanlo que eso llegó y se va a quedar.
Yo le he dicho a varios artistas que, su último trabajo va ser alimentar a la inteligencia artificial. Si no lo hacen ellos, otros lo harán. Ahora hacen huelgas, que como es posible, pero igual sucede. Pronto le das un libro a una IA y te genera la película entera, sin actores, sin escritores, sin compositores.
Al principio será torpe y la gente reirá, pero poco a poco se le va entrenando. Eventualmente, ya ni siquiera podrán ver las mismas películas que otras personas, la IA sabe lo que te gusta mas a TI y te la personaliza. Ya verán, esto es un negocio de fuerte crecimiento (idea para cambiarse a un trabajo relacionado). De momento, las IA necesitan grandes centros de datos, no es casual que varios mineros bitcoin industriales ahora están mirando volverse prestadores de servicio para inteligencia artificial.
Nunca me integré a esta "alianza", pero ya traduje bastante. Ahora se lo doy a la IA, que no es con prompts por cierto, DeepL de Alemania funciona bien para traducción entre idiomas europeos.
Ahora si quieren deprimirse porque Skynet va entrar en linea y decidir que lo humanos sobran... Bueno una cosa es herramientas asistidas por inteligencia artificial, y otra muy distinta llegar a la "singularidad" que sería tomar conciencia propia como otro ser. Para esto último todavía falta mucho, tal vez mas de un siglo. Ah, que los barcos, aviones y coches andarán solos, pues si. Los pilotos perderán sus trabajos, así es. Y muchas cosas mas. La IA es como la informática, atraviesa toda la humanidad, de la misma forma que lo hizo la electricidad y las máquinas industriales.
¿Que se prohíbe en algún lado? En otro lado no. Es como bitcoin, lo pretendieron prohibir 15 países, y ya uno de ellos se hechó para atrás (Bolivia). Imaginen rechazar hacer dinero instalando centros de datos para inteligencia artificial...

How would it be? Modders don't do any real work, the manufacturer does the support for new hardware, they never have to work by themselves to support new stuff. Years ago Marc the liar and alias Victor said they would replace cgminer, they of course never did it because that would force them to work, so stealing cgminer remains their game.
The S19i uses a different chip (BM1360) and demand was so low the devs skipped it entirely, that is why it has never been supported. I don't recall ever seen it shown as supported nowhere, i believe you confused yourself with the S9i.

Why solo mining?Solo mining is all about taking your shot at finding a block on your own. Yes, the odds might be 1-in-a-million, but for some, that’s the thrill. Unlike mining in pool, where you earn small, steady rewards, solo mining only pays out if you find a block yourself. You might have a mini miner with just a few TH/s when earning a few sats a day does not justify the device and/or electricity costs. You may have a reasonable mining operation, and you just want to try your luck with a few machines. The payouts are high, and chances are scarce. But that does not mean you won’t find that lucky hash! How does that work?In solo mining, each user attempts to mine their own block. The block for each user differs primarily in the output of the coinbase transaction, where the user’s own bitcoin address is used. The coinbase reward goes directly to this address without any middleman. The rest of the blocks are the same for all solo miners — they all confirm the same set of transactions within the block. The logic of mining remains the same. You still connect the mining devices under a worker name, and you still monitor your hashrate to see if your device is working properly. However, there are no sats being accumulated for you until you hit the jackpot and compute a hash that fulfills the network difficulty. In such a case, you will be rewarded with 3.125 BTC (valid for the current halving epoch) as a reward, plus any applicable transaction fees. We only take away 0.5% of the overall reward to credit the authors of the CKPool software stack, which we currently use to provide solo mining for you. That’s also the reason why you’ll find two outputs in the coinbase transaction.

Pues yo pienso que, 2 cadenas perpetuas + 40 años por poner un foro que permitió a la gente comerciar entre ellos lo que quisieran, me pareció extremadamente excesivo. Si hay criminales allí pues que vayan a por los criminales no por quien puso la herramienta. Es como la vieja discusión de prohibir las armas porque matan personas, pero hay gente que las necesita para su protección. Y podemos irnos por el tema: en internet hay pedofilia prohíban el internet, y como la electricidad lo permite, seamos menonitas, etc...
