Yes I Memorized My Seeds

To what gain are you memorizing the seed phrase for? Are you heading to a competition with it or something else? I can't find why someone would memorize their seed phrase for no just cause when they know how risky it could be if someone hears them out saying that.

Have you asked yourself why the seed phrase is made up of different wordings that can't be used to make a statement? Isn't it just that they don't want us to memorize it, instead to write it and store it in a safe place.

The best way is to write down your seed phrase on a metal steel or on a paper and make three duplicates of it and store them in three different locations far from each other. I hope that you haven't burnt your seed phrase backup which you wrote down on paper like you said.

There is nothing bad in memorizing the seed phrase, but it shouldn't be the only option for recording that one needs to rely on. In life, one can lose memory at anything due to stress, illness, or even an accident.

The seed phrase needs to be stored in a good way that it can be accessed at any time, but very secure and private from strangers. Instead of memorizing the seed phrase, there are different ways the seed phrase can be stored for the future.

The idea of memorising your seed phrase is not entirely bad, but it is just too stressful. I don't think I can even successfully memorise mine. Kudos to you, OP, for this effort because it is not easy. I like the fact that you still have your seed phrase backed up and it's not like you're going to be relying on only one means of backup.

For those talking about the risks of brain memory backup, they should not ignore the fact that some unforeseen circumstances, natural disasters, or even theft can make one lose the seed phrase they've written down or even stored in a supposedly safe place. The best we can do is to have multiple backup options. OP has done it for himself; we should applaud him.

That's totally valid - however, that's why you need to make these copies in different places.

@OP if you are enjoying what you are doing then I am happy for you.  Each of us has our own way of backing up our Bitcoin seeds, others love to play with their memory so they memorize their seed phrases while others want to have a solid way of backing it up so they do them through back up storage, writing it on paper then laminating it and borrow it somewhere they only know others even do it in different places.  While others engrave it on a metal plate.

No matter how we back up our seed phrases, it is fine as long as we ensure that they won't be lost or easily stolen.

Yes I totally agree even if there is no accident one day memorization can be lost in our mind. I think op is too afraid to write it on a piece of paper or engrave it on metal maybe his assets are too much   or there is a possibility he just wants to have fun because I think he will write it back later. Whatever op did for me is a waste of time and it is better to use that time to work on increasing our assets.

It might be wrong to say it is a bad practice to memorize your wallet backup phrases, since everyone has their own routine of ensuring maximum security of their wallets. There is nothing wrong with doing so, but the immediate you stop memorizing the seed phrase can disrupt your ability to remember all the seeds. Why stress yourself when you can put them down somewhere safe, talk about the stress of memorizing your seeds each day for a 5 years investment plan.

Having an exceptional memory is great, at least your secrets are safe in your mind. But it’s even better to have a backup, just in case your memory fails or something unexpected happens, like amnesia.

This reminds me of Jason Statham’s movie Safe, where a young Chinese girl with incredible memorization skills was entrusted with the key to a safe.
Solid idea mate, but as a general safety rule, always have a backup.

@OP not only memorizes his seed phrases but also has backup probably hidden somewhere, so he is still playing safe while trying to "brag" about him memorizing his Bitcoin seed phrases.  I don't see any fault in @OP's strategy because he makes sure that there was a contingency plan in case he forgot his seed phrases.

It is good to exercise our brain daily, they say it is healthy because it helps us reduce the risk of memory loss.  If @OP does this "ritual" he said daily then probably he may not forget his seed phrases until old age.

Personally I think memory techniques like this are underappreciated especially when it comes to things as crucial as seed phrases. Most people just write them down and tuck them somewhere but if you can genuinely memorize them safely it adds a whole other layer of safety. I might try modifying your strategy for some of my own material.

Anyway, that's how I did it.

Now just have to hope that you don't suffer from ыomniloquy and don't accidentally say all 12\24 words out loud in your sleep. This can also happen during a fever during illness or after drinking at a bar.

The phrase "golden head" in your case can sparkle with new colors. Take care of your head.

That's the doom scenario of such a method, but yeah - everything has its pros and cons, we just live with them and adjust to them.

What's the point of doing this exercise then. If you already have it backed up and store on a secure location then why the stress.
The thing is no matter how hard you try and remember it, over the long term, you won't be able to remember those words.
Unless you read them every week ofcourse but then what's the point of doing it.

I had an experience about memorising things when I suddenly forgot the password to my bank app. It was funny but I recalled it after some hours. Notwithstanding, OP said he is not only depending on his brain, but he has also backed it up in another form. Having the seed phrased backed up in different forms is not a bad idea anyway.

So many people fighting and arguing over absolutely nothing.

Each of us has their own method that seemingly works best.  Memorizing the Seed is something I would not do simply due to my fear of having who knows what kind of mental issue later in life and somehow whispering my Seed to the wrong person.  Burying the Seed somewhere definitely seems like a far better idea instead.

Then comes OP who tries to prove who they are and why they are not stupid, this is so silly.

You do you.  As long as that Seed is stored well, be it in your brain or on a piece of leather buried 200 meters underground in a vacuumed tube, just do it and have it properly kept and protected.
