I have not heard or read about any incident that resulted to lose of property as you said, what has only happened before is a case that lead to death because of being too  excited and it was not intentional. According to the account of that incident, the man won a huge amount that he has never earned in his entire lifetime, I guess he was just too excited of how his life was going to turn around for good, then he had a heart attack.
