When I was a kid, that world gambler is usually seen from a bad light like something reserved for irresponsible people of the society. This made gamblers then do their business discreetly and sometimes in secret. It was like that for a very long time until sports betting became so popular that things began to change. Today parents discuss gambling with their children who are of age and even in market places, people freely discuss gambling without fear.

Let them think negatively. Perhaps that only gives them stress thinking of others' lives while we enjoy our day gambling. There are many and very common in a place where the only thing they can do is monitor the lives of their neighbors.

I don't bother myself hearing them. Besides, I know myself that I am different from other gamblers. I gamble responsibly and have never been in trouble. There is nothing to explain to these people because they will not listen to us. Maybe someday they will just realize that they are wrong.

You cannot plan with projected gambling wins because you cannot determine when you will win next. It is better to be gainfully employed because you are sure of your pay. And you can plan with this fixed amount you get no matter how small. Some of these people who think they are making money from gambling and don't need jobs cannot guarantee when their next win will happen. If gambling were easy to predict,  gamblers would have some of the richest people in the world.

That's the thing, but I think it's better if you're private with your gambling activities. I've come to know that the impression people have on gamblers, especially those ones going to physical betting houses are all very negative ones, I don't know if it's worse at my side of the world, and this can tend to affect you more than just as mere comments from them.

They can spread an ugly news and it might prevent you from getting something of value, let's say a contract or make someone who should believe in your capabilities to become in doubt.

I think gambling can be a source of in or revenue for people, those who setup casino or gambling platform, this is their means of taking profit.  For gambling hosts, it is a source of income.  

For players, it would be devastating for them if they think that gambling can be a source of income especially when luck is not on their side.  Since for players of casinos, gambling results are so random that no one can tell which bet would win.  Yes there are a few individual who really profit from their gambling sessions but there ar lots of success gambling story that turns southward after sometimes due to their excessive gambling and wanting to duplicate their result.

You have a solid stance here, I highly agree with your pont of view, a job should be a guaranteed earning, for players, gambling does not guarantee anyone that they will end their session with money on their hand.

Although, many gambling platforms uses the statement, "bet responsibly" just for the clarification of bettors that whatever negative outcomes that hits them during betting is out of their ignorance of listening to their instructions, so if you blame the company, they'll get something to hold against you, this shit is mind game.

Already, gambling is addictive the same way with drugs that can cause some sort of chaotic lifestyle making you looking irresponsible in the society. It only takes those that can discipline himself to bet responsibly and know how exactly he's handling his bankroll that's not affecting his living.

It's no longer a thing to judge someone based on one thing, we all have our own poison, the difference is some people willing to show it, some people hide it and some people are lying.

If I know someone is a gambler, I won't think this or that, maybe I will think he has a good financial and he like to spend money. The same thing if you see your friends travel outside your country, there's nothing wrong right? but at least you know he has a better financial.

A responsible gambler will never discuss his gambling in public. They always keep their gambling hidden and they always advise others to avoid gambling. When I see someone discussing gambling, I avoid it and I don't comment on it because it is completely their personal matter. However, if someone mentions me and says something, I protest because I will never accept my criticism about gambling. Gambling is a place of entertainment, only fun should be taken here and that is what responsible gamblers do.

Those who have a good understanding of gambling never carry negative ideas about it. They try to get real pleasure from gambling. Many people may not be able to directly see the pleasure of gambling, but there is a lot of joy here too. Especially during the Covid-19 period, online gambling gave people a lot of joy from home. People were able to understand very well how much joy gambling can bring. Those who fail to manage gambling will never find the good side of gambling. I do discuss gambling in public, but only with friends. Those whom you trusted the most. I don't really care about what other people will say, even if they overheard what I will say. It's on you and your friends who know that you are a disciplined gambler.

Even if they spread rumors about me gambling, it's not like my friends will easily believe those. They know me better than that, so when I am mentioned as a gambler, I don't really care. They will be the ones who will be stressed about what I am, not me, but I do know who I am.

What I can do is to correct them that the impression they're having about gamblers are wrong. Not all gamblers are useless people and not, all non gamblers are useful people. We can have either types of people gambling or not hence this shouldn't be used as criteria for judging people. Some gamblers have made an impact with the money being won from gambling. People have gotten the life of people impacted in a good way hence gambling shouldn't be looked at as a bad thing completely. I won't encourage anybody to start gambling but if it's what you what to do then go ahead. My advice will be to take things serious and not to allow addiction become a problem for you because it can cause so many damage for you.

Discrimination against gamblers is also very common. Some people make up conclusions, often negative, about a person just because he is a gambler himself. Which is very unfair. This can be often seen among religious communities as they usually do not condone gambling.

Employers might not employ you for this very reason but if you are responsible enough you will not gamble during work hours so this shall not be a problem.

This is a different strokes for different folks situation, and there's nothing we can do about the people who tagged gamblers as someone useless or irresponsible because people intend to say negative things about something they are not fully aware of.

You made a clear point here, we cant control peoples mind towards something, everyone has to go by what conviction he has towards it, gambling can be done in a responsible manner and this is what is expected of every gambler, but for some certain reasons and at some certain conditions, we see that some are not complying to gambling responsibly, which is part of their own nature or lifestyle, because if you check well, this may not apply only to how they gamble, but the entire pattern hey live on, which led to many saying that gambling is not good and causes a lot of challenges to gamblers life, but the truth is, they are completely wrong about such idea, because gambling is meant to have fun.

The major causes of the irrespnsible gambling could be the pattern of living of the gamblers as you stated which is why they dont comply to responsbly model of gambling but I consider those gamblers as someone who should not gambling in the first place because they choose not to accept the reality of the game which is the reason why the find it hard to control their buzz.
However, gambling is not only meant for fun. Yes, the fun is there, but it is also created as a game of chance.

Gambling is a wonderful tool that we have. Why we always see so negative threads? If someone hurts himself with the hammer we don`t create lots of threads like "hammer kills", "be aware of hammers", "responsible hammering"?
If it has some restrictions in some countries - ok. We have to obey the law. But if gambling is allowed - why we have to avoid it?
Such threads remove potential gambler from the game. And i can`t say that it would be better if they would drink a lot for example.

Nothing, inasmuch as people lose more than they win in gambling the society will never see gamblers as responsible people unless for a particular gambler who is made through gambling and people have seen the impact of gambling in his life and he is able to maintain his status without falling. Gamblers has been tagged as irresponsible people long time ago and it is difficult to re-write that narrative since many gamblers always end up gambling irresponsibly, only few gamblers plays gambling with a good sense of responsibility.

The answer in the poll will depend only on the gambler but I think majority of gamblers are irresponsible and that is why many people can view gambling to be negative. It may be impossible to transform all irresponsible gamblers to responsible but if we really want this badly then we can do some change.

We can start on the people that we know the most. We can encourage them to change and to have more chance, we can give some incentives. They don't need to quit gambling totally if it is too heavy for them because the goal of our program is only to teach them to be responsible and there are already called "responsible gamblers".
